SKEETERS VS MARYLAND BLUE CRABS

Today is Labor Day, the last game in the series between the Sugar Land Skeeters and the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs.  The Skeeters are in the lead in the Series 2-1.  Today at Sugar Land Constellation Field is also Bark in the Park day, bring your furry friend and spend some time watching a little baseball and relax.  Everyone needs a little stress free day after the devastation Hurricane Harvey put on our city of Houston and the surrounding towns.

Today on the mound for the Sugar Land Skeeters is RHP #24 Mitch Talbot (7-3, 3.36) and for the Maryland Blue Crabs is RHP #11 Brian Grening (8-6, 3.69).  The Skeeters got on the board first when #18 Dickie Thon hit a home run bottom of the third inning.  The Skeeters scored another run when #33 Caleb Ramsey earned a run by #15 Bryan Pounds hitting a single.   The Maryland Blue Crabs made a change to their pitching line-up, LHP #28 Robert Carson at the bottom of the sixth inning.   Home run for the Blue Crabs by #27 Cory Vaugh to make score 1 and Skeeters 2, middle of the seventh inning.   The Skeeters #15 Bryan Pound earned a run on a hit by #3 Albert Codero.  The score stands Skeeters 3 and Blue Crabs 1 at the end of the seventh inning.  To start the eighth inning as the Skeeters pitcher will be RHP #39 Julio Depaula.  Blue Crabs earned a run by #4 Jose Lozado, with a hit by #9 Edwin Garcia.   The line-up for the Skeeters has changed to RHP #38 Felipe Paulino at the top of the ninth inning.

The final score at Constellation Field, Sugar Land Skeeters 3 and Maryland Blue Crabs 2.  The series was Skeeters 3 and Maryland Blue Crabs 1.
