Tonight at BBVA Compass Stadium is going to be a great night. The Leukemia and Lymphoma society is at the stadium and fans are donating $10 and shaving their heads in support of this great cause. The saying for tonight in the stadium is BALD IS BEAUTIFUL.
The Houston Dynamo is hosting the LA Galaxy tonight, a very crucial game for the Dynamo. It is liking walking a tight rope, they are playing for possible shot in the playoffs. They will be facing Minnesota at the end of the week. The LA Galaxy is struggling this year and will probably finish with the worst record in club history. Coach Wilmer Cabrera knows this game is important to the team and tells them, “Play like it is the final game”.
The first half started off bad, LA Galaxy scored first on an own goal by the Dynamo in the second minute. As the half progressed the Dynamo seem to be having problems controlling the ball. As a result of this, the LA Galaxy’s #7 Romain Alessandrini scored in the eleventh minute of the game and made the score LA Galaxy 2 and the Dynamo 0. The Dynamo have attempted to score in the eighteenth minute but hit the corner of the goal and bounced out. In the twenty-third minute a yellow card was issued to Dynamo’s #5 Juan Cabezas for a foul. The Dynamo scored in the twenty-fifth minute by #5 Tomas Martinez, closing the gap in the first half, LA Galaxy 2 and Dynamo 1. The game is more aggressive, another yellow card was issued in the half to LA Galaxy’s #21 Hugo Arellano. The Dynamo are controlling the ball better as the game goes on. The Dynamo made a substitution in the forty-first minute bringing in #14 Alex for #5 Juan Cabezas. At the end of the first half the score LA Galaxy 2 and the Dynamo 1.
In the forty-seventh minute, LA Galaxy managed to score, #38 Bradford Jamieson to make the score LA Galaxy 3 and Dynamo 1. In the fifty-seventh minute the LA Galaxy’s goalie #31 Clement Diop was issued a yellow card for delay of game. In the sixty-first minute there was two yellow card issued to both sides the team, Dynamo’s #25 Tomas Martinez and LA Galaxy’s #8 Jonathan dos Santos. In the sixty-fifth minute, Dynamo substituted #10 Vicente Sanchez for #9 Erick “Cuba” Torres. In the sixty-seventh minute another substitution for Dynamo #19 Mauro Manotas for #12 Romell Quioto. A yellow card was issued to LA Galaxy’s #10 Giovani dos Santos. The LA Galaxy in the seventy-eighth minute substituted #32 Jack McBean for #10 Giovani dos Santos. In the eighty-third minute a PK was earned by #17 Alberth “La Pantera” Elis to make the score LA Galaxy 3 and Dynamo 2. The Dynamo are getting to closer to tie the score, but there is a lot of friction on the field. Several times there has been a scuffle between both teams and the goalie has ruffled a lot of feathers. In the eighty-eighth minute with a corner kick the Dynamo have tied the game with #17 Albeth “La Pantera” Elis scoring. The LA Galaxy was issued another yellow card to #13 Jermaine Jones. The Dynamo fans are on their feet chanting “Si se pueda” meaning “Yes you can”.
