Skeeters vs.Somerset Patriots

Today the Skeeters take on the Somerset Patriots in Constellation Field, Sugar Land, Texas.  After down pours this morning, hoping the night stays clear to finish the game tonight.
The Patriots had #24 Thomas Neal hit a double, unfortunately was left on base. The Skeeters were also unsuccessful in the first inning.  The guys are just warming up, still early in the game.
The second inning the Patriots’ #8 David Vidal hit a HR to put them on the board first.  The Skeeters answered back with #20 Chris Wallace got an RBI and scored #24 Delwyn Young to tie the game.  The third inning the Patriots left two men on base.  The Skeeters #16 Travis Scott had an RBI, scoring #11 Willy Taveras to put the Skeeters in the lead.  In the fourth inning the Patriots had two men on base and #21 Adam Donachie hit to LF where #8 David Vidal was on his way home, from left field # 25 Johan Limonta threw to home where #20 Chris Wallace handled an outstanding throw to keep #8 David Vidal from scoring, retire the side and kept Skeeters still in the lead.  The Skeeters were unable to score at bat bottom of fourth.
Top  of the fifth inning no scoring for the Patriots.  Skeeters had no runs.
The middle of the 6th inning Skeeters changed pitchers #22 Andrew Johnston came in.  He walked two batters #8 David Vidal and #20 Greg Hopkins to load the bases.  Jonny Tucker # 6 for the Patriots had a 2 run RBI with a little help of a wild pitch from second baseman # 4 Renny Osuna to first baseman #16 Travis Scott.
Skeeters changed pitchers top of 7th inning, #19 Cory VanAllen.  The Patriots #24 Thomas Neal hit an RBI, scoring # 92 Aharon Eggleston to put the Patriots in the lead. Patriots 5, Skeeters 2, going into the bottom of the 7th.  Change of pitchers for the Patriots #12 Daniel Sattler.
Change pitchers for the Skeeters top of 8th, #39 Andrew Carpenter.  The Patriots have a base hit with #6 Jonny  Tucker.  Next batter was walked #Adam Donachie.  Tucker scored when #13 Robert Andino singled with an RBI and two men on base.   Aharon Eggleston #91 singled to load the bases. Michael Burgess#39 doubled with an RBI scoring #21 Adam Donachie and #13 Robert Andino.  The last batter #35 Mike Wilson flied out to shortstop to end the inning but not before the Patriots scored 3 runs.  The The Patriots changed pitchers #26 Kevin DeLaCruz.  Skeeters came up short this inning.
The Patriots did not score any runs at the top of the 9th inning.  There is still hope for the Skeeters to come back.  The Patriots changed pitchers at the bottom of the 9th to bring #32 Angel Reyes.  The Skeeters tried to come back, but only scored one run when #6 Renny Osuna hit a double to get an RBI and have #20 Chris Wallace score.  Unfortunately this was not enough, the Skeeters came up short to lose to the Somerset Patriots.  The final was Skeeters 3 and the Patriots 8.
