Houston Dynamo (9-15-835 pts; ) vs Seattle Sounders FC (16-11-5; 53 pts.) will meet for the second time this year. The last time these two teams met, the Seattle Sounders beat Dynamo 4-2, eliminating the Dynamo from playoff contention in the process. Dynamo will end their 2018 season tonight at home. Today the Houston Dynamo will try to better both marks today against the Seattle Sounders.
In the first half the Dynamo made a substitution early in the game #16 Kevin Garcia for #4 Philippe Senderos. The first half has been aggressive by both teams, penalty calls and pushing off by both teams. Several attempts by the Dynamo to get a goal have been unsuccessful. The Seattle Sounders have scored in the 25th minute of the game from a corner kick by Lodeiro , #14 Chad Marshall, managed to head butt the ball into the corner of the goal. The second half at the 49th minute the Seattle Sounders scored early by G. Svennson with assistance of N. Lodeiro, to make it Dynamo 0 and Seattle 2. The Dynamo did not give up and came back and scored in the 65th minute with a corner kick from #27 O. Garcia to #16 David Garcia putting for their first goal. Dynamo 1 and Seattle 2. In the 71st minute Seattle was issued a yellow card to #5 Nouhou Tolo. In the 87th minute the Sounders #9 R. Ruidiaz scored with the assistance of, once again N. Lodeiro. The Dynamo scored in the next two minutes, (89th minute) #9 M. Manotas scored a goal with the assistance of #31 R. Quioto. The score was Dynamo 2 and Sounders 3. The Dynamo made a great effort to come from behind to try to win the game, but fell short.
The Houston Dynamo played their final game of the season. The Houston Dynamo will regroup in the off season, I’m sure they will try to make the playoffs in the 2019 season.
