It was a great night for some football here at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston Texas. The match was Texas Southern against Mississippi Valley State in front of a crowd of 1564. Both teams came out to play hard and in the first quarter TSU would score with Medina, Eric 28 yd field goal 11 plays, 71 yards but Mississippi would make a touchdown by Davis, D. 16 yd run (Galon, C. kick ), 5 plays, 28 yards and at the end of the first quarter the score was Mississippi 7 and TSU 3.
When the 2nd quarter started both teams where playing so hard that some how Mississippi was on a drive but luck was not on there side with a fumble TSU recovers it and run it back 40 yd for a touchdown and with half time coming up TSU go in to the locker room leading TSU 10 and Mississippi 7.
When the teams come out of the locker rooms Mississippi was pushing hard to get the lead with them scoring a touchdown and a safety against TSU. And with TSU only getting a field goal at the end of the third quarter Mississippi had taken the lead 16 to 13.
When the fourth quarter started you could tell TSU was going to do what ever they could to get win making some get stops to make Mississippi punt the ball away a few times. Tsu made some great plays and was able to score a touchdown to take the lead to 20-16. And the crowd went crazy when TSU took the lead. But Mississippi was put a great drive down the field to try to make a final push. But TSU would make one great stop with an interception at the end of the game to seal the win for TSU and like I said it was a great night of football. Here are some more photos from the game.
