HOUSTON DASH VS. ORLANDO PRIDE

Today the Houston Dash take on the Orlando Pride at BBVA Compass Stadium.  Today will be the first game back for Carli Lloyd at BBVA Compass Stadium since April.  The Orlando Pride lead the series against the Houston Dash with a record 3-0-0.  Orlando Pride comes in tonight with a four game losing streak.  The Houston Dash have won four points from a two-game road trip to the East Coast. The Orlando Pride are in seventh place and are two points ahead of the Dash.  The Houston Dash raised more then $5,000 for OneOrlando.org. and presented it to the Orlando Representative.

In the first half, 23rd minute of the game, #11 Janine Beckie, with assistance of Carli Lloyd, scored the first goal of the game.  In the 43rd minute Orlando Pride made their first substitution due to an injury to #8 Sarah Hagen, coming in #18 Maddy Evans.  In the first half the Houston Dash had more possession of the ball then the Orlando Pride.  There was two minutes added to the 45 minutes in the first half, which ended with the score, Houston Dash 1 and Orlando Pride 0.

Starting the second half in the 48th minute Houston Dash, #2 Poliana scored another goal for her team.  In the 53rd minute Orlando Pride made another substitution, #14 Becky Edwards coming in for #3 Toni Pressley.  In the 63rd minute, Dash’s #7 Kealia Ohai scored a goal, to make the score Dash 3 and Orlando Pride 0.  The Dash had a substitution in the 63rd minute #23 Cami Privett coming in for #2 Poliana.  The Orlando Pride made another substitution in the 72nd minute #26 Sam Witteman coming in for #9 Josee Belanger and the Houston Dash also made a substitution, #12 Amber Brooks coming in for #6 Morgan Brian.  In the 75th minute Houston’s #5 Becca Roccarao was issued a yellow card.  In the 78th minute The Orlando Pride’s #13 Alex Morgan was issued a yellow card.  In the 79th minute a yellow card was issued to Houston’s #12 Amber Brooks.  Houston made a substitution in the 80th minute #21 Melissa Henderson coming in for #13 Denise O’Sullivan.  In the 81st minute the Orlando Pride scored a goal by #13 Alex Morgan with the assistance of #12 Kristen Edmonds .  In the 87th minute the Pride scored a goal by #12 Kristen Edmonds to make the score Orlando 2 and the Dash 3.  There has been more changing of the ball and scoring in the second half.  It has the fans on the their feet.  There will be four minutes added to the 90minute game.  There was an injury for Orlando Pride between #14 Becky Edwards and #17 Dani Weatherholt, which resulted in the #14 Becky Edwards going to the locker room with an injury to the head. In the 95th minute Houston’s #7 Kealia Ohai scored another goal with the assistance of Janine Beckie, to make the final score Houston Dash 4 and Orlando Pride 2.

The Player of the Match was #7 Kealia Ohai with 2 goals for the night and also making her the top scorer for the Dash.  The attendance for the tonight’s game was 6,819.
