DYNAMO VS NEW YORK RED BULLS

Today at BBVA Compass Stadium, the Houston Dynamo take on the New York Red Bulls.  The Dynamo are coming back home dropping a game to Portland.   The Dynamo have five players returning after qualifying for FIFA World Cup over the last week.   The players returning are DeMarcus Beasley, Adolfo Machado, Elis, Romell Quioto and Boniek Garcia.  There is a question about Romell Quioto playing for tonight.  He went down during the Honduras’ and United States game and was pulled because possibly injuring his shoulder when he fell on it.  The Red Bulls are a strong team under the coaching of Jesse Marsch, which he has put the Bulls on top in the  Eastern Conference.  The Red Bulls are tied for first place in the Eastern Conference.   ‘The fans are looking for another win at home from the Dynamo team, after their two wins at the start of the season.

The game started with the Dynamo strong and Tyler Deric saving two attempts for goals from the Red Bulls.  Twelve minutes into the game the Red bulls Bradley Wright-Phillips, with assist from S. Kljesran and Felipe, scored a goal.  The Dynamos’ #15 Dylan Remick scored a goal with the assist of Alex from a corner kick in the 15th minute to tie the game.  In the 27th minute a yellow card was issued to Red Bulls Connor Lade for foul.  In the 34th minute Dynamo scored, but was recalled due to Torres being off side.  In the 38th minute substitution for the Red Bulls, #78 Arelien Collin off and #55 Damien came on.  In the 41st minute the Red Bulls fouled the Dynamo inside the box, which earned the Dynamo a penalty kick, which was kicked in by Erick Torres to put the Dynamo ahead 2 to 1 in the first half.  In the 43rd minute another yellow card was issued to the Red Bulls against Tyler Adams. There was a 4 minute stoppage time added to the first half.

The second half both teams came out hard, this has been a physical game.  In the 56 minute Dynamo scored once again by #9 Erick Torres, making the score 3 to 1.  In the 58th minute the Dynamo substituted #13 Ricardo Clark off, with #27 Boniek Garcia on.  Another substitution for the Dynamo #17 Alberth Elis coming in for #11 Andrew Wenger.  The Red Bulls substituted #77 Daniel Royer off, and #19 Alex Muyl in.  The Dynamo in the 77th minute substitute #19 Mauro Manotas off, and #7 DeMarcus Beasley comes on.  The Dynamo team have played hard the second half, with Tyler Deric also making some key plays in stopping the Bulls from scoring.  In the 90th minute Erick Torres scored another goal, the third of the night for him.  Dynamo 4, Red Bulls 1.  The game was great and the Man of the Match was #9 Erick Torres with three goals.
