Tonight at BBVA Compass Stadium, the MLS Western Conference Championship game, Leg 1 is being played with Dynamo taking on Seattle Sounders. The Sounders have not won at BBVA Compass Stadium. The Dynamo have won nine games at home. It will be for an interesting game, with Dempsey starting for the Sounders. The Dynamo have to keep their guard up and attack anytime an opportunity comes their way.
The first minute of the game, Dynamo managed to come up with a corner kick right away. The teams have come out aggressively trying to keep the ball on their side trying to score. The Seattle Sounders score first in the tenth minute by #4 Gustav Svensson. The game has gotten aggressive from both sides, players are in each others face. In the twenty-seventh minute, a foul against Dynamo’s #2 Anibaba, which turned into a Red Card. The Dynamo will have to play a man down in the second half. The penalty gave the Sounders a chance to score again with the penalty kick, but #1 Joe Willis made an amazing save to keep the Dynamo still in the game. In the forty-first minute the Sounders scored again, #17 Bruin hit a header into the corner away from Joe Willis. The Sounders 2 and Dynamo 0. The Dynamo face a very hard second half, 2 points down and playing with 10 men. In the forty-fourth minute, due to added stoppage time, #25 Martinez was issued a yellow card.
The Sounders have brought in #8 Victor Rodriguez for #2 Dempsey in the second half, saving Dempsey for the next leg. The Dynamo missed another goal in the fifty minute by Monatas. Dynamo made a substitution, bringing #15 Remick for #4. In the sixty-third minute the Sounders #5 Nouhou was issued a yellow card for a foul against Dynamo’s #17 Elis. Dynamo made another substitution, #12 Quioto for #6 Alexander. The Sounders made a substitution in seventy-eighth minute #27 Neagle coming in for #33 Jones. The Sounders #33 Torres was issued a yellow card for a foul against Elis. The yellow card against the Sounders, Torres will be suspended for the second leg. Dynamo’s Elis will also be suspended in the second leg. There was three minutes of stoppage time, but the Dynamo could not score tonight. The final score was Dynamo 0 and Seattle Sounder 2.
