DYNAMO VS COLORADO RAPIDS

Tonight Dynamo returns home to host Colorado Rapids, after Houston was devastated by Hurricane Harvey.  It really hit home, some of the Dynamo players, including team president Chris Canetti and general manager Matt Jordan were forced to evacuate their homes.   Dynamo will be playing to still keep their undefeated status at home, they are 9-0-3.  The Captain for the Dynamo team will be Ricardo Clark.  The Colorado Rapids are winless in the last nine games, so will be playing to finish strong.  Philippe Senderos will be making his first appearance with the Dynamo tonight, he will be wearing the #4 jersey.  Philippe Senderos is a Swiss professional football player, he will be a defender for Dynamo.  He has FIFA World Cup experience (2006, 2010, 1014) he will be the fourth player on the Dynamo team with FIFA World Cup under his belt.  He will join DeMarcus Beasley (2002, 2006, 2010, 2014), Ricardo Clark (2010), and Boniek Garcia (2010, 2014).

The Dynamo and Rapids have gotten off to a slow start, both teams have had chances to score goals but have come up short.  The teams are being aggressive but have not had the right opening to score.  The goal will come to the team making the first error or possibly even get lucky at an opening.   There was a save from Colorado Rapids goalie, Tim Howard, which kept the game scoreless.  The half ended Dynamo 0 and Rapids 0.

The second half started with a foul against Rapids #24 Kortne Ford.   Then within minutes a yellow card was issued to captain #13 Ricardo Clark of the Dynamo team.  Then within a couple of minutes there was a yellow card issued to #14 Alex of Dynamo for a foul.  The play lead to a video review to see if that should have been a red card instead of yellow card against Alex.  The play was reviewed closer and a decision was made, no red card was warranted.  The Dynamo made a substitution, #25 Tomas Martinez coming for #14 Alex in the 62nd minute.  In the 66th minute the Rapids made a substitution #7 Stefan Aigner coming in for #90 Mohammed Saeid.    In the 72nd minute Dynamo substituted #22 Leonardo for #4 Philippe Senderos.   In the 74th minute the Rapids made a substitution, #21 Bismark Boateng for #33 Jared Watts.   The second half has had a lot of fouls and issuing of yellow cards for both teams.  The Rapids #15 Dominique Badji was issued a yellow card for not retreating in 80th minute.   In the 81st minute there was another yellow card issued to the Rapids #5 Mekeil Williams for a foul.  The Dynamo have controlled the ball in the second half but have been unable to score.  In the 88th minute the Rapids substituted #17 Dillion Serna for #45 Joshua Gatt.  The second half has six minutes added and the Colorado Rapids manage to score in these minutes.  So now the Dynamo will have to really work hard if they want to tie the game or lose their first game at home.  In the 90 + 2 minutes of the game the Rapids scored the winning goal by #14 Dominique Badji.

The game has ended with the Dynamo losing their first home game to the Colorado Rapids.  Dynamo 0 and Colorado Rapids 1.
