HOUSTON DASH VS FC KANSAS CITY

Tonight at BBVA Compass Stadium is 90’s night, and the Houston Dash will face the two-time NWSL Champion FC Kansas City.  The Dash are trying to accomplish a club record by having their seventh victory of the season.  They lost to Portland 2-1, last Saturday, and Carli Lloyd returns after completing time with the USWNT.  Kansas City ended their losing streak with a 2-2 draw against the Boston Breakers.  Even though the Dash lost last week they still remain in the NWSL playoff chase, just four points out of fourth place.  Both teams have gotten off to a slow start, even though both have had a chance to score it has not happened.  Due to the heat there was a hydration break called by the referee, Robi Hullner.  In the 35th minute the Dash sub out #10 Carli Lloyd for #5 Cari Roccaro.  The first half ended with neither team scoring, we’ll see what the second half brings.

In the second half there still has been no score by either team.  Both teams have kept the ball and attempted goals but have not had any success in getting goals.  In the 63rd minute the Dash received a caution to Amber Brooks.  In the 64th minute Kansas made a substitution #6 Bowen coming on and #9 LaBonta coming out of the game.  In the 83rd minute FC Kansas City #2 Shea Groom scored the first goal to put Kansas on the board.  In the 83rd minute the Dash made another substitution #9 Sarah Hagen coming in for #14 Nichelle.   In the 85th minute Kansas made another change #44 Kelly coming in for #25 Ratcliffe.

The final score Dash 0 and FC Kansas City 0.  The Player of the Match for the tonight was #3 Rachel Daly.  The attendance for tonight 4,352.
