Today at BBVA Compass Stadium, the Dynamo return home to face the San Jose Earthquakes. The Dynamo’s game is important tonight, they are tied for second place in the Western Conference with 34 points. The San Jose Earthquakes are in sixth place with 32 points. So, needless to say the game benefits both teams with a win, but who will be the victor? The Dynamo are looking to stay perfect at home, 8-0-3, so I am sure the Dynamo will try to strike first and get points on the board. El Capitan was fired by Chinedu Ogu for the cerominal firing.
The Dynamo scored the first goal in the 17th minute of the first half by #17 Alberth “Pantero” Elis and the assist by #27 Boniek Garcia. The teams took a three minute hydration break, called by the referee due to heat. In the 39th minute there was a yellow card issued to #17 Alberth Elis for simulation. The score at half, Dynamo 1 and San Jose Earthquakes 0.
The second half started 48th minute with a yellow card issued to San Jose’s #15 Andres Imperiale, this led to a penalty kick for the Dynamo, led by #9 Erick “Cuba” Torres. The chance was missed to go ahead when “Cuba’s” kick was blocked by San Jose’s goalie #28 Andrew Tarbell. In the 50th minute Dynamo’s #27 Boniek Garcia was issued a yellow card. The second half started off with a bang, this gets the crowd going. The teams know how important it is to win tonight, so the aggressive playing is on by both teams. In the 59th minute San Jose’s #27 Fatal Alasshe was issued a yellow card. The substitution for San Jose came in the 60th minute #27 Alasshe came out of the game and #22 Tommy Thompson came into the game. The Dynamo made substitutions also in 62nd minute, #25 Tomas Martinez coming in for #13 Ricardo Clark and #19 Mauro Manotas coming in for #9 Erick “Cuba” Torres. The Dynamo made their last substitution in the 77th minute bringing in #10 Vicente Sanchez for #12 Romell Quioto. In the 86th minute the Dynamo scored their second goal by #10 Vicente Sanchez with assistance of #17 Alberth Elis. The game went into extra minutes, in this time Dynamo scored their third goal by #19 Mauro Manotas with assistance of #10 Vicente Sanchez.
