Today at BBVA Compass Stadium the Houston Dynamo are returning home with their first road victory over D.C. United.  The Dynamo will be facing off against the Portland Timbers in a very hot night.  El Capitan was fired by Trae Tha Truth for the start of the game.

In the 4th minute of the game, handball was called against Dynamo’s #9 “Cuba”.  The Portland Timbers were the first to score in the thirteenth minute, #8 Diego Valeri scored with the assist of #16 Zarek Valentin.  In the 37th minute the Dynamo’s #19 Mauro Manotas scored Dynamo’s first goal to tie the game.  The Dynamo have been called for several handballs in the first half.  The Portland Timbers came back to stay on top of the Dynamo in the first half, in the 43rd minute #10 Sebastian Blanco scored the goal with the assist of #8 Diego Valeri (captain).  The Dynamo have to stay alert in the second half if they are going to have any chance in winning tonight.

The start of the second half Dynamo made first substitution, #11 Wenger coming out of the game and #17 Alberth Elis coming into the game.  In the 59th minute the Dynamo made another substitution, #13 Ricardo Clark coming out of the game and #18 Memo Rodriguez coming into the game.  Dynamo made their last substitution, #9 Cuba Torres coming out and #12 Romell Quioto to come into the game in the 60th minute.  Portland Timbers are playing aggressively in the second half, more so then the first.  The Timbers were issued to yellow cards within three minutes for fouls, #7 Miller and #21 Chara.  The Portland Timbers made their first substitution in the 71st minute, #9 Adi coming out and #17 Ebobisse coming into the game.  During the break, Portland made substituted #6 Nagbe out and #19 Victor Arboleda coming in.   Goal for Dynamo in the 81st minute by #5 Juan Cabezas, first of the season, with an assist by #18 Memo Rodriguez.  There was a yellow card issued to the Dynamo in the 85th minute to #5 Juan Cabezas for persistent infringement .

The attendance for tonight’s game was 19,382.  The final score for the game, Dynamo 2 and the Portland Timbers 2.  Tonight’s Man of the Match was Dynamo’s #19 Mauro Manotas.
