On a very humid night returning home, the Dynamo will play their rival team, Real Salt Lake. The Dynamo team have played very well at home and hope to continue playing well at BBVA Compass Stadium. The Dynamo have been great at home, scoring as the best MLS’s team at home this year, scoring 6-0-1 inside BBVA Compass Stadium, with Dynamo leading plus 13 goal differential at home. The team has been averaging least three goals per game at home this year, this has happened with the help of their quartet, Erick Torres (seven goals), Alberth Elis (five goals), Romell Quioto and Mauro Manotas (both with three goals at home). The Real Salt Lake comes in tonight with a rough start to the season, they come in with a new coach, Mike Petke, who was former coach for the New York Red Bulls.
The Real Salt Lake had an own goal in the three minute mark, came off a kick by Dynamo’s #19 Mauro Manotas, put the Dynamo on the score board first. Both teams are going for shots, winning is a target for both teams. In the 14 minute of the game Dynamo’s #14 Alex came in from a corner kick to score a goal and make the score 2 and Real Salt Lake 0. Tyler Deric has really been working hard for the Dynamo’s tonight, he has saved two shots of Real Salt Lake. The Dynamo want as many points as possible, they just came off a corner kick attempting to score again, this shows they are determined to win tonight. Right before the first half ended, in the 44th minute, Dynamo’s #19 Mauro Manotas with the assistance of #9 Eric Torres and Elis, scored another goal to make the score at the end of the first half Dynamo 3 and Real Salt Lake 0.
Starting the second half of the game the Dynamo scored in the 52nd minute from #9 Eric Torres with the assistance of #17 Elis, to make the score 4 and Real Salt Lake 0. In the 54th minute Real Salt Lake’s #8 Sunny was issued a yellow card. It is a physical game when another yellow card is issued within a minute to the other team. Dyanmo’s #5 Juan Cabezas was issued a yellow card. In the 60th minute the Real Salt Lake made a substitution, #20 Luis Silva came into the game. In the 61st minute the Dynamo made a substitution #19 Manotas coming out of the game and #27 Boniek Garcia coming into the game. In the 63rd minute Real Salt Lake, on a foul by Dynamo, made a goal to make the score Dynamo 4 and Real Salt Lake 1. Another substitution by the Dynamo came in the 65th minute #14 Alex out and #18 Memo Rodriguez coming into the game. In the 68th minute with the assistance of #27 Boniek Garcia, #22 Leonardo make a goal to put the team up by 5. Tyler Deric made another save in 70th minute, he has really hustled to keep Real Salt Lake from scoring. Dynamo substituted #10 Vicente Sanchez for #17 Alberth Elis. Real Salt Lake make substitution bringing in #12 Omar Holmes in the 73rd minute. Boniek Garcia was issued a yellow card in the 79th minute. In tonight’s game, Tyler Deric was also a big part of the win for the Dynamo, he had some outstanding saves to keep Real Salt Lake from scoring points.
