HOUSTON DASH VS ORLANDO PRIDE

Today at BBVA Compass Stadium, the Houston Dash return home to take on the Orlando Pride after being on the road.  The team will have players,  who were chosen to play internationally, return to play for their teams.   Carli Lloyd will make her debut in tonight’s game, after playing internationally since the beginning of the season.  The Dash will be playing under the direction of interim head coach Omar Morales, they will look for their first win under his direction.  It will be a very hot night, it is partly cloudy, so hoping for clouds to cover up the sun, making a little cooler to play.  Orlando Pride has five-time FIFA Women’s Player of the Year Marta and veteran Ali Krieger.

The Dash have been attempting the goals, one of which was called no goal and the other the referee claimed to be off side.  The fans did not agree with the calls the referee is calling tonight, by their boos.  Marta of Orland Pride, has taken a shot for her team but also came up empty to keep the score 0-0 in the first half.  In the 15th minute, Orlando’s #9 Camila, kicked a long shot goal to put the Orlando Pride on the scoreboard first.  In the 19th minute there was a foul called on Orlando, which gave the Dash a penalty kick, but was unsuccessful.  The Dash got their first corner kick in the 20th minute but did not get a goal.  In the 21st minute the Orlando’s #10 Marta was successful and got their second goal of the night, making the score Orlando 2 and Dash 0.  The fans are having problems with the calls of the referee.  There was 4 minutes added to the first half, due to the three minute break for hydrating the players, since it is a very hot night.  The score at the end of the first half Dash 0 and Orlando 2.

In the second half there was a substitution for the Dash,  56 minute #3 Rachel Daly come out of the game and #17 Andressinha came into the game.  In the 56 minute the Orlando Pride scored again, #10 Marta made her second goal of the night to make the score Orland 3 and Dash 0.  The referee issued a yellow card to the Dash’s #16 Janine Beckie  and also in the 64th minute a yellow card was issued to Orlando Pride’s #9 Camila.  In the 68th minute Orlando once again, scored their 4th goal by #14 Alanna Kennedy.  In the 69th minute Orlando made a substitution, #9 Camila coming out of the game and #6 Chioma Ubogagu coming into the game.  In the 72nd minute the Dash made another substitution in the game #10 Carli Lloyd coming out and #14 Nichelle Prince coming in.  In the 79th minute Orlando made a substitute #10 Marta coming out of the game and #4 Jamia Fields coming into the game.  Also in the 79th minute the Dash #55 Janine Van Wyk was issued a yellow card.  The Dash substituted #6 Morgan Brian and #13 Denise O’Sullivan came into the game.  In final minutes of the game #14 Nichelle Prince scored the second goal for the Dash.

The final score Dash 2 and Orlando Pride 4.  The Player of the Match was Poliana.  The attendance for tonight’s game was 5,918.
