Tonight the Dash are back at home for the first time since May 20 when they played the Orlando Pride and lost 1-0.  Tonight at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, Texas,  the Dash will take on the reigning two time NWSL Champion FC Kansas City.  The FC Kansas City is struggling this year, they are working on a makeover, they only have one win through 8 games, and 3 draws and 4 losses.  Their goalie Nicole Barnhart has kept the defensive competitive despite the struggles offensively.    The Captain for the Dash tonight is #7 Kealia Ohai, and the goalie will be #18 Lydia Williams.  The Captain for FC Kansas City is #4 Becky Sauerbrunn and the goalie is #18 Nicole Barnhart.

The first have started with both teams being very aggressive. The Dash team are really  putting the moves on FC Kansas, #15 Allysha Chapman she is really working defensively by taking the ball from FC Kansas several times.   The FC Kansas team also tried getting a couple of shots for a goal but failed.  The first half has been where the ball is kicked back and forth by both team with no score from either team.

In the second half the Dash have come so close to scoring but have come up short.  In the 63rd minute the Dash made their first substitution of the game bringing in #3 Rachel Daly and #9 Chioma Ubogagu.  The FCKC had a substitution in the 72nd minute with #21 Katie Bowen coming off and #88 Alexa Newfield coming in.  The Dash made their second substitution bringing in #21 Melissa Henderson and #7 Kealia Ohai coming out for the night. The FCKC scored in the 80th minute making it 1 – 0.  The Dash made their 3rd and final substitution bring in # 12 Amber Brooks and #24 Ellie Brush coming off.  The FCKC made another substitution in the 85th minute bringing in # 23 Caroline Kastor and #2 Shea Groom coming out for the night. In the 89th minute #5 Cari Roccaro was issued a yellow card on the Dash team.  There was 3 minutes added after the 90th minute of the game.  The Dash team still scoreless.  The player of the match for the Dash was Kealia Ohai.  The Final Score Dash 0 and the FC Kansas City 1.
