DASH VS SKY BLUE FC

Tonight at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, Texas, the Dash take on Sky Blue FC.  Houston is hoping to win at home like they did when the season opened and were victorious against the Chicago Red Stars with the final score 3-1 on April 16, 2016.  Awesome news for the Dash, when Rachel Daly was voted NWSL player of the week by the NWSL Media Association for Week 1 of the 2016 NWSL season.  The rookie performed as well as the professional, against the Chicago Red Stars, when she scored a goal and assisted in two others to win 3-1.

The captain for the Dash team is #7 Kealia Ohai.  The captain for the Sky Blue FC is #3 Christi Rampone.  The Dash started with the ball in the first half, but it was not long before the Sky Blue team took the ball away from the Dash.  The game went on with a battle to keep the ball and score by both teams but neither succeeded.  Both teams are pretty well matched up so it is really going to come down to which team will make the first big mistake.  In the 32nd minute of the game a yellow card was issued to Sky Blue’s team # 11 Raquel Rodriguez.  The first half was even, no one scored even with one minute added to the first half the scored remained Dash 0 and Blue Sky 0.

The Dash had control of the ball in the second half, but not able to score despite the many  attempted shots to goal.  The Sky Blue saved a lot of the shots.

The final score was Dash 0 and Sky Blue FC 0.  They both score a point for tying.  We are also giving our best to Carli Lloyd for a speedy recovery after an injury in Saturday’s match in Orlando.
