CONCACAF WOMEN’S OLYMPIC QUALIFIERS 2016

The USA will take on Trinidad & Tobago in the second semifinals of the Concacaf Women’s Olympic Qualifiers for 2016 at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, Texas.  The winner will play Canada, as they were the winners of the earlier game against Costa Rica.  The finals will be on Sunday February 21, 2016 at 4:00 p.m.

Starting the first half as the USA team comes out of the tunnel the support of the fans is just overwhelming.  The noise in the stadium is like the USA had already won the game and it had not yet begun.

In the 11th minute #17 Tobin Heath scored a goal for the USA, with the assistance of #2 Mallory Pugh,  the fans went crazy with the first points on the board. In the 24th minute #14 Karyn Forbes of T & T stepped out for an injury as she and another player hit her head. In the 26 minute a yellow card was given to Trinidad’s #10 Tasha St. Lois.  In the 29 minute the USA scored another goal by # 13 Alex Morgan with the assistance of #9 Lindsey Horan.  In the 42nd minute USA scored again, by player #10 Carli Lloyd, making the score USA 3 and Trinidad & Tobago 0 in the first half. The fans in the stands cheered her on like it was the end of the game.

In the 58th minute USA made two substitutions, coming off #2 Mallory Pugh, coming on # 12 Christen Press, coming off #9 Lindsey Horan, coming in #12 Christen Press. In the 65th minute the USA substitution, #10 Carli Lloyd off and #16 Crystal Dunn on. Everyone in the stadium cheers for her as she comes off the field.  In the 67th minute Trinidad & Tobago has a substitution, #8 Victoria Swift coming off, # 11 Janine Francois comes on.  In the 70th minute the USA scores by #13 Alex Morgan, making the score USA 4 and Trinidad & Tobago 0.  In the 71sth minute Trinidad & Tobago had a substitution, # 10 Tasha St Louis comes off,  # 3 Mariah Shade comes on.  In the 72nd minute USA’s #13 Alex Morgan scores once again making the score USA 5, Trinidad & Tobago 0.

It will be USA and Canada in the finals of the Concacaf Women’s Olympic Qualifiers of 2016.  The will play Sunday,  February 21, 2016, at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, Texas.  The Concacaf player of the match was  USA’s #13 Alex Morgan scoring 2 of 5 goals of the night.  As the coach for the USA team walked off the field the fans were cheering her on and they also cheered Hope Solo as she walked off.  The biggest and loudest cheers came as Team  USA left the field.
