Sept. 23, 2015 Houston Dynamo vs Sporting Kansas City

Tonight at BBVA Compass Stadium the Dynamo take on Sporting Kansas City for the fourth time this season.   The teams have met twice in 11 days at Sporting Park earlier this season, with Sporting Kansas City advancing in the U.S. Open Cup with a 3-1 win on July 2 before the rivals played to a 1-1 draw on Aug. 1.  The Dynamo are in a critical position. a must win tonight is crucial if they want any chance for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.  They will have another home game on Saturday where they will face the Colorado Rapids at BBVA Compass Stadium.

In the 1 minute of the game Sporting Kansas City missed a shot by #71 Marcel de Jong.  In the 21st minute the Houston Dynamo shot was blocked by #8 Graham Zusi.  Sporting Kansas City’s #93 Soni Mustivar received a yellow card in the 32nd minute of the game.  In the 40th minute #5 Matt Besler fouled to receive a yellow card for the Sporting Kansas City.  Dynamo’s #10 Giles Barnes missed a shot for a goal.  Right before the first half ended in the 44th minute #27 Oscar Garcia fouled and received a yellow card for the Houston Dynamo.  There were no substitution in the first half for either team.

In the second half 50th minute Sporting Kansas City #14 Dominic Dwyer blocked a shot.  Dynamo’s Ricardo Clark also blocked a shot.  Substitution was made by the Sporting KC in the 53rd minute off came Marcel de Jong, on came Jacob Peterson.  In the 55th minute Sporting KC received a yellow card Seth Sinovic for a foul.  The Dynamo’s who attempted on Target were Brad Davis and Giles Barnes. The Dynamo scored a goal in the 66th minute by Will Bruin assist by DeMarcus Beasley.   In the 67th minute substitution for the Dynamo player off Giles Barnes, players on Erick Torres.  In the 69 minute second yellow card with issued to Dynamo’s Oscar Garcia that turned into a Red Card.  In the 73rd minute Sporting KC Benny Feilhaber miss.  Dynamo had a substitution in the 73rd minute player off Brad Davis, player on Sheanon Williams.  In the 75th Sporting KC had an attempt on target by Jacob Peterson. Sporting KC had a substituted player off Soni Mustivar, player on Jordi Quintilla in the 79th minute.  Dynamo had another substitution player off Will Bruin, player on Alex.  There was another miss by Sporting KC ‘s Dominic Dwyer and Paulo Nagamura.  Final substitution for the Sporting KC, player off Sean Sinovic, player on Bernardo Anor in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute for dissent Sporting KC’s #10 Benny Feilhaber drew a yellow card.  Toward the end of the game 90th plus 3 minute stoppage time attempt on target by Dominic Dwyer but the Dynamo came on top to win the game.

The final Score Dynamo 1, Sporting Kansas City 0.  Now they have another game on Saturday which is also a must win game.
