Skeeters and Lancaster battled a double header today, the Skeeters won 6-2 the first round.
First batter Zach Collier hit a double, was left on base, Skeeters pitcher, Sean Gallagher retired the side.
Kevin Russo, struck out while Johan Limonta hit a drive right over second base for a single. Delwyn
Young hit for a single and advanced Johan to second. Chris Wallace hit a single to bring in the first run
Johan Limonta. Allan Dykstsra struck out, but a wild pitch advanced Young and Wallace. Patrick
Palmeiros hit to left field to have Young and Wallace score for the Skeeters, 2-0 at end of first inning.
Gallagher loaded the bases by walking 3 players in the second inning with one out. The Lancaster
Barnstormers scored 2 runs in the second inning. Anderson Feliz scored for the Barnstormers in the
third inning to tie the game 3-3. Skeeters had a rough go in the 3rd inning, first three batters flyed out
to make it 3 up 3 down. Denny Almonte was walked in the 4th fourth only to be thrown out at 2nd
when he tried to steal a base. Zach Collier was hit by pitch to advance to 1st in the 5th inning. Barnstormers
left man on to retire the side. The Skeeters, Amadeo got a hit over 2nd base to start the Skeeters off.
Delwyn Young started bottom of 6th with pitcher Pat Misch walking Young. Lancaster changed pitcher bottom
6th inning bringing in #37 Marcus Walden. His first to pitch to Chris Wallace, hit to get on first base. Dykstra
finished the inning by hitting and setting up a double out. (Chris Wallace and Dykstra) Skeeters changed
pitchers at the top of the 7th inning, #38 Tim Gustafson. He retired the side with the 1st three batters.
Skeeters #12 Robbie Weinhardt came in to pitch top of the 8th inning. Robbie stroke out Kevin Rivers and
Mike McDade and Brian Cavazos-Galvez to retire the side. The Barnstormers #4 Scott Gracey started pitching
bottom of the 8th. Change pitcher for the Skeeters number 10 James parr. Skeeters come up short,
on the 2nd game of the double header. Final score Lancaster 4 and Skeeters 3.
