It was a cloudy day for some tennis here in River Oaks Country Club in Houston Texas. The championship match between Jack Sock and Sam Querrey. The match started at 2:00 p.m. and as the match went on mother nature would get in the way. And it would postpone the match from 2:45 p.m. and it would not start back up till 5:00 p.m.
And when the match started back up it would turn out to be a great match between the to americans battling back and forth the match would go only two sets but would go all the way to both being a tie breaker sets
Sam Querrey was play great through out the tournament beating some great players here are some photos of him in the final match taking both sets tie breakers. Sam had 49 aces in 4 matches and had won11 break points out of 13. He had put up some great numbers thoughout the match and he moved up in the atp tour world tour rankings to 41 in the world but in the end it was not enough to beat the up and comer Jack Sock.
On this day at River Oaks Country Club Jack Sock would fight for every point to push this match to two tie breakers and with only having 19 aces in the whole tournament and only with only winning 9 of 14 break points. But I bet on this sunday it was on Jacks mind that it would be great to win here at River Oaks in Houston Texas and as luck would have it Jack Sock would play the best and would win his very first title and also moving up in the ATP World Rankings to 36 in the world and if he keeps playing like this he should be moving up in the world ranking and can’t wait to see him come back to defend his title next year and hopefully his world ranking would have moved up and Jack did not have an easy road to win this title have to beat four seeded players to get his first ever title so congrants to Jack Sock.
